Porcelain isn't the most environmentally friendly of materials to produce so I endeavour to counter this by minimising the environmental footprint of my production processes wherever possible.

CLAY

I recycle all my trimmings and waste clay so it can be reused to make more pots.

Wasteful packaging is a particular bug bear, particularly the ubiquitous use of stickers which serve no purpose other than branding yet litter the environment for millennia with plastic waste.

PACKAGING

Unfortunately pots are fragile things so need adequate packaging if they're to make it to you in one piece. But I use wrapping and packaging that's made from recycled materials and if you do find plastic packaging in with your pot, it will generally be recycled from deliveries to me or to my friends.

STUDIO

My studio has solar and batteries and uses renewable energy as far as the British weather allows.
